Adult Nature-Based Craft Workshops
We are pleased to be offering a series of workshops in rural craft and arts rooted in nature. Using materials collected on and around the Farm, we will make good quality products that you can take home with you, as well as the knowledge of how to do it again! There will also be some time to enjoy the Farm’s environment and share some of our homegrown herbal teas. The workshops are for adults only, with no prior experience needed!

Using materials collected on and around the Farm, we will make good quality products that you can take home with you, as well as the knowledge of how to do it again! There will also be some time to enjoy the Farm’s environment and share some of our homegrown herbal teas. The workshops are for adults only, with no prior experience needed!
The workshops will be led by Carla, an artist trained in applied arts with a keen interest in natural materials. She is also one of the Farm’s Youth Workers, who has been a youth and community worker using nature and the arts for many years. She’s passionate about sharing skills and encouraging creativity and connection to nature in all.
Our 2025 Workshop Series will include:
Making Natural Pigment
We will make a set of pigment paints using material found by the farm on the Thames foreshore and have a chance to do some experimental painting or mark making with them. You will take home your paint set and any artwork created.
Eco Printing
We will naturally print on fabric and paper using leaves and flowers collected on the farm. You will take home your experiments on paper and fabric, and your own printed tea towel.
Natural Ink Making
We will make a set of coloured inks using natural material from the farm, and have a chance to do some experimental painting or mark making with them. You will take home your set of inks and any artwork created.
Booking information
- Adults only, aged 18 years and over
- Refunds are not available (but you are able to send someone else in your place)
- Most of the sessions will be delivered inside, but please wear appropriate footwear for walking around the Farm and wear clothing you don’t mind getting a little messy.
- The area we use is accessible but if you if you have any mobility issues that you’re concerned about please get in touch to discuss before booking
- Please ensure you let us know your allergies
- Prior to the event you will receive information about staying safe on the Farm. Please read this carefully and ask if you have any questions.
- We welcome feedback at the end of each session and will fully evaluate for the future
