Our Pigs

We have three adult pigs that live at the Farm. Rolo our Middle White cross Berkshire boar and two sows, a Middle White named Polo and a Gloucestershire Old Spot named Lolly.

Rolo was born here on the Farm, his dad was Bruno (a Middle White pig originally born at Mudchute City Farm) and his mother was called Curly (a Berkshire pig who was born at Stepney City Farm).

Middle White pigs are a pale colour with very short upturned noses. Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs have dark spots, long droopy ears, and longer noses.

We’ve breed the pigs once a year and are hoping that Polo is now in pig and we might have piglets this coming Spring!
