  • Participants will join a small group of people to connect with nature, share experiences and learn techniques, so they can live more freely from anxiety. Sessions will be delivered at the Farm on a Wednesday afternoon from 2:30-4:30pm for 10 weeks starting from mid-August.

    Programme Overview

Each programme runs for 10-weeks where 10 delegates and two facilitators meet for two hours weekly to experience psychosynthesis-informed activities and mindfulness techniques in nature, engage in gardening activities and explore the following themes through group discussion:

    • Developing A Connection with Self
    • Creating a Building Block of Trust
    • Where Do You Belong?
    • Being Present & Grounded
    • Thoughts Become Things
    • Connecting With Nature
    • What’s Your Story?
    • Creating Boundaries
    • Switch Off to Feel
    • Self-Care

The group sessions all use nature as a lens to explore, as nature is accessible to everyone and has no judgement. Research shows that being in nature alone, has a positive impact on mental and physical health, by increasing mood & feeling of connection, whilst lowing blood pressure and stress.

    What does it involve?

    • Time out every week to discuss how you are feeling in a safe group of peers
    • The opportunity to experience different relaxation techniques to help when you are feeling anxious
    • To be part of a supportive community of people who all have lived experience of anxiety
    • Experience self-care activities in nature
    • Take part in a research project to support others with what works, from your own and groups experience
    • Access a toolkit full of resources to support you with anxiety
