Secrets of the Site’s History

This special tour will reveal the fascinating 300-year history of the Farm’s site through all the historical remains around the Farm as well as the many artefacts found on its foreshore. See the evidence that this site was once a shipbuilders (…and shipbreakers!), a timber wharf, an experimental chemical laboratory, a smallpox transfer wharf, a victim of the Blitz, and a wartime fire station, and hear the latest discoveries and curious stories from site historian, Germander Speedwell.
This event is aimed at adults, but young people aged 12 plus are also welcome to join.
The tour will start at the Farm’s riverside, in front of the cafe.
