Can’t make 19th July? We’ll offer you the chance to visit the exhibition again on Thursday 24th July from 5:30-7:30pm; Friday 25th July from 11:30am-4pm and Saturday 26th July from 11:30am-4pm.
The exhibition will also return for our Harvest Festival on 13th September from 11am-4pm.

Our partners at Vacherin are putting on a BBQ so you can enjoy a tasty lunch while visiting the Farm event. Plus look out for our 50th motif on the coffee from The Barn coffee shop all day and special 50th cup cakes on sale!
Tour ‘Secrets of the Sites History’
Led by Germander Speedwell
This special tour will reveal the fascinating 300-year history of the farm’s site through all the historical remains around the Farm as well as the many artefacts found on its foreshore. See the evidence that this site was once a shipbuilders (…and shipbreakers!), a timber wharf, an experimental chemical laboratory, a smallpox transfer wharf, a victim of the Blitz, and a wartime fire station, and hear the latest discoveries and curious stories from site historian, Germander Speedwell.
Tours run at 12pm and 3pm but spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
Talk ‘Hilary Peters – a Farm Founder’

It has taken many years and many hands to create Surrey Docks Farm and develop it into what it is today, but without Hilary Peters it’s unlikely to be here at all! A founder of the Farm and author of the book ‘Docklandscape’ which describes the social and physical environment of the Docklands at the time the Farm began, her influence has been huge. Her good friend Carole Britton, who has written about some of Hilary’s life, will give a talk about Hilary: her life, work and those first days of Surrey Docks Farm.
Carole writes: “Does it take someone extraordinary, to make something extraordinary? Something unheard of, not done before, of note, something that stirred the society here 50 years ago, and that has continued, standing the test of time and ever changing and evolving problems in our world over the last 5 decades”
Talk runs from 1:45-3pm in the Farm’s Tower Room. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance.
