Farm Shop Volunteer
Farm Shop Volunteers play a key role in providing a friendly, welcoming point of contact for our visitors and farm shop customers.
Our Volunteers
Volunteers commit to a morning shift from 10am-1pm or an afternoon shift from 2pm-4pm, serving our customers in the farm shop. You’ll answer phone and in person enquiries; serve customers taking cash and card payments; and keep the shop stocked, clean and tidy.
Volunteers should be polite, friendly, sociable and interested in the Farm’s work. Volunteers need to be able to work fully independently in a very busy and demanding environment. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and ideally previous retail and customer service experience who is IT literate and can commit to a set shift on a weekly basis. We’ve found this role is well-suited to someone who is retired and lives locally.
For this role, we require volunteers to be 18 years old or over and to be able to commit to a regular weekly shift for a minimum of three months. We require two references and will carry out a DBS check prior to starting in the volunteer post.
In return you’ll gain new skills, be part of a fun, welcoming team and help support the running of the Farm!
